Privacy Policy
WorldMe ("we," "us," or "our") organizes the world pieces that users choose to share by time and location. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, profile photo, bio, and cover photo.
- Content and activity: photos, videos, captions, comments, likes, saved items, follows, and private messages that you choose to submit.
- Location and capture metadata: capture time, coordinates, camera, and lens details embedded in photos; and device location when you grant permission for map display and location confirmation.
- Purchase information: subscription product, transaction identifiers, expiration date, and refund or revocation status. Apple processes payment details such as card numbers; we do not receive them.
- Operations and security information: request times, network addresses, and necessary logs used for authentication, uploads, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide account authentication, maps and world pieces, sharing and interactions, private messages, content safety review, subscription access, customer support, troubleshooting, and fraud or abuse prevention. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
3. Service Providers
Information may be processed on our behalf by providers such as Apple (maps, photo access, and App Store purchases) and Alibaba Cloud (hosting, email delivery, and content safety review). We require providers to use data only as needed to deliver these services and to apply appropriate safeguards.
4. Visibility and Retention
World pieces and interactions that you share publicly are visible to other users as indicated in the app. We retain information needed to provide the service while your account is active. After account deletion, we delete associated account data and content, except information that must be retained for legal, dispute, financial, or anti-fraud purposes; such information is deleted or anonymized when the applicable period ends.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You can view and update your profile, delete your world pieces or comments, block other users, and permanently delete your account from Me → Profile → Menu → Delete Account. You can withdraw photo or location permission in iOS Settings and manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple's subscription settings.
6. Security and Children
We use HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege practices, and content moderation to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; contact us if you notice unusual activity. The service is not intended for children below the minimum age required by law. Minors should use it with a parent or guardian.
